Incheon Yeonsu-gu Installs 'Warmth Tents' at 5 Express Bus Stops

Yeonsu-gu, Incheon announced on the 9th that it has installed warming tents at five major intercity bus stops to protect against the cold and wind during winter.

The district started operating the tents this month and plans to provide warm resting spaces for passengers at a total of five locations, including Dongmak Station (Exit 1), The Frau, and Songdo Dalbit Festival Park Station, until early March when the cold snap continues.

The district set up the warming tents so that intercity bus passengers, who typically have relatively long waiting times, can wait in a warm space protected from the cold and chilly winds while waiting for the bus.

The warming tents are temporary facilities designed to block cold and wind near bus stops, raising the internal temperature to effectively alleviate the cold caused by severe cold waves.

A Yeonsu-gu official stated, "To enable safer and more comfortable use of public transportation during winter cold waves, we plan to install additional warming tents and equip fixed windbreaks."
