Meeting with Merchants and Residents to Express Commitment to Market Revitalization

Lee Sang-geun, the governor of Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam, visited Baedun Market in Hoihwa-myeon on the 9th to meet with merchants and residents, delivering New Year's greetings and expressing his commitment to revitalizing the market.

This visit was part of on-site communication efforts, with Woo Jeong-wook, vice chairman of the Goseong County Council, and council member Choi Du-im accompanying him to listen to the difficulties faced by traditional market merchants and discuss ideas for revitalizing the local economy.

On the day, Governor Lee engaged in direct conversations with the merchants, listening to the current status and challenges of Baedun Market’s operations, and expressed his determination to develop practical solutions based on the merchants' opinions.

Governor Lee stated, “Communicating directly with residents and listening to the voices of the local market is the starting point of policy,” adding, “We will spare no support to help Baedun Market regain its position as the center of the local economy.”
