As of the advisory issuance time, Baegunsan in Gwangyang and Jangseong recorded 3.1 cm of snowfall, Yeonggwang 1.7 cm, Baeka in Hwasun 1.5 cm, and Wolya in Hampyeong 1.2 cm.
In Jeonbuk, Bokheung in Sunchang recorded 10.4 cm, Jinan 7.9 cm, Gunsan Industrial Complex 7.9 cm, and Jinbong (Gimje) 6.2 cm. Due to this heavy snow, the West Coast and southern inland areas of Jeonbuk are expected to see up to more than 30 cm of snowfall.
Snowfall is forecasted to reach 5 to 15 cm by the 10th, with some areas receiving more than 20 cm. In particular, some regions may experience heavy snowfall at a rate of 3 to 5 cm per hour. As daytime temperatures rise, some areas may see rain instead of snow.
An official from the Korea Meteorological Administration said, "In areas where it is snowing, vehicles must reduce speed, and special attention should be paid to preventing damage to livestock sheds, greenhouses, and weak structures."
