Mayor Lee said, "Many systems and laws have changed in areas that can directly affect citizens' lives, such as health, welfare, and jobs," and ordered, "Please use various promotional channels to inform citizens quickly and accurately."

In particular, he reiterated, "Please pay extra attention to promoting projects that are closely related to citizens' daily lives or provide benefits so that no one misses out on benefits due to lack of awareness."

Additionally, the mayor praised and expressed gratitude to public officials and local volunteer residents who responded well in an organized manner and diligently carried out snow removal work despite the sudden heavy snowfall during the first weekend of the new year.

Mayor Lee also congratulated the city on the great achievement of being selected as an "Excellent" local government in the 2024 Local Regulatory Innovation Performance Evaluation hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, securing a special grant of 200 million won as a financial incentive following many award announcements at the end of last year.

The mayor emphasized that this would not be the end and that regulatory innovation that citizens can empathize with and feel will continue to be actively pursued.

Mayor Lee said, "The selection of Goyang City's Gongneungcheon in Gyeonggi-do's low-carbon waterfront park project competition, securing 4 billion won in provincial funds, is an achievement made by the dedicated efforts of the responsible public officials," and urged, "Please continue to work hard and do your best to create a river where people can wash their faces and soak their feet," which is a key campaign pledge.
