Yujin Corporation Confirms Outstanding Performance of 'Latex Compression Concrete' in Crack Reduction

Yujin Enterprise, the parent company of Yujin Group, announced on the 8th that it has developed a special concrete with high crack reduction effect called 'Latex Pressed Concrete' and confirmed its excellent performance after applying it on site.

Latex Pressed Concrete is a technology that won an award at the 2023 HDC 'Technology Proposal Contest'. It is characterized by mixing latex particles inside the concrete to form a film layer that effectively controls crack occurrence. In particular, it has better workability and durability compared to conventional fiber-reinforced concrete, and in structures where waterproofing is essential, it plays a role in protecting the waterproof layer, so it is expected to be widely used in construction sites.

Yujin Enterprise conducted research and development in cooperation with HDC Hyundai Development Company and first applied it at the Hong Eun 13 District site in Seoul last year. After monitoring for about two months, it showed more than 80% crack reduction performance compared to conventional fiber-reinforced concrete. Yujin Enterprise and HDC Hyundai Development Company plan to continue monitoring the product completeness until April to ensure stable product supply and expansion.

A representative from Yujin Enterprise’s Technology Research Institute said, "Through on-site verification in 2024, we have achieved substantial business results and demonstrated Yujin’s future growth potential," adding, "Building on this success, we will do our best to expand the application of the technology to construction sites nationwide and contribute to technological innovation in the construction industry."
