The Korea Forest Welfare Institute announced on the 8th that it has been selected as the 'Best' institution for two consecutive years in the '2024 Comprehensive Information Disclosure Evaluation' hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
The evaluation was conducted on 554 institutions including central administrative agencies, local governments, city and provincial education offices, and public institutions. The evaluation criteria consisted of 11 indicators across 5 areas: ▲pre-disclosure of information ▲original document disclosure ▲request processing ▲customer management ▲compliance with the Information Disclosure Act.
The Forest Welfare Institute achieved a perfect score in 10 out of the 11 indicators, earning the highest rating. The total score received by the Forest Welfare Institute was 99.72 points, which is 3.05 points higher than the average score of 96.67 points for quasi-governmental institutions.
In the evaluation, the Forest Welfare Institute was recognized for proactively disclosing key information of high public interest in advance and actively responding to public demands, thereby establishing a high-level information disclosure system.
Nam Tae-heon, President of the Korea Forest Welfare Institute, said, “The Forest Welfare Institute will continue to systematically manage key information in the field of forest welfare to guarantee the public’s right to know,” and added, “We will also strive to enhance transparency in institutional operations through active disclosure of various information.”
