Namyangju City Supports 'Future Planning' with Customized Youth Policies This Year

Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) is taking the first step toward realizing "Namyangju Growing Through Youth Movement" by organizing 11 new projects for 2025 that reflect the proposals and needs of young people.

According to Namyangju City on the 6th, these new projects were prepared based on ideas and suggestions gathered through communication with more than 10,000 young people annually over three years by the newly established Youth Policy Division in the 8th local government administration.

The city has prepared various projects to provide hope and vitality to young people facing economic and psychological difficulties such as the Gyeonggi economic downturn, employment difficulties, social isolation and withdrawal, and the N-po phenomenon of giving up dating, marriage, and childbirth, while supporting their participation in social activities and planning for a bright future.

Key new projects include △ the "Cheongnyeon Deulseok Community" discovery support project to expand personal networks among youth △ the "Fit-Tness Challenge" for healthy daily life of young people △ and the "Hidden Gem Platform" project to discover young talents.

Additionally, various projects such as the youth internship program to enhance social experience, capabilities, and broaden horizons will be promoted reflecting the needs of young people.

A Namyangju City official said, "Through Namyangju-style youth projects, we will continue to support and strive to help young people grow personally and form a healthy community among themselves."
