Previously, Vice President Shin first visited CES in 2023 alongside Kim Kyo-hyun, Vice Chairman of Lotte Chemical. Last year, he also visited the CES booth set up by Lotte Innovate (formerly Lotte Information & Communication), a Lotte Group affiliate, where he explored the metaverse platform 'Caliverse' and the electric vehicle charger 'EVSIS.'
At this year's CES, he is expected to review the booth of Lotte Innovate, which is participating for the fourth consecutive year, and check out advanced technologies and services from major domestic and international companies on-site to grasp the trends. Lotte Innovate plans to showcase the expanded universe and content of Caliverse at this year's event, and its subsidiary EVSIS will unveil a high-speed charger tailored for the U.S. market.
Vice President Shin has been expanding his management scope, having been promoted to Executive Vice President just one year after becoming Senior Vice President in last month's executive reshuffle. He is strengthening his position within the group by concurrently serving as head of Lotte Holdings' Future Growth Office and Lotte Biologics' Global Strategy Office, overseeing new business development and future growth engines.
At this year's CES, he is likely to pay close attention to AI-related technologies, which are a core theme of the exhibition. Lotte has already positioned business achievements in the AI field as a key agenda this year. Earlier, on the 2nd, Shin Dong-bin, Chairman of Lotte Group, stated in his 2025 New Year's address to group employees, "Last year, we laid the groundwork for AI internalization across various fields," and urged, "As we enter the full-fledged AI era, please focus on AI internalization to achieve meaningful outcomes such as creating new business models and reducing costs this year."
Meanwhile, Seo Kyung-bae, Chairman of Amorepacific Group, an owner in the distribution industry, will attend CES on-site for the first time this year. Chairman Seo plans to visit the CES 2025 Innovation Award-winning 'Warner-Beauty AI' exhibition hall and the Samsung Electronics collaboration booth. He will also directly observe cutting-edge technologies across various industries at CES and review the North American business status with Giovanni Valentini, head of Amorepacific North America. Nam Sung-yoon, Head of Sales at Pulmuone USA, has also confirmed attendance at this CES. Mr. Nam is the eldest son of Nam Seung-woo, founder of Pulmuone Foundation and senior advisor.
