A Woman in Her 50s Drinking Alcohol Dies After Being Stabbed by a Man from the Same Neighborhood

A man in his 60s fatally stabbed a woman in her 50s who lived in the same neighborhood while drinking together.

According to the Yeongdo Police Station in Busan, at around 6:25 PM on the 3rd, Mr. A wielded a weapon while drinking with Ms. B, a woman he knew, in a residential area of Yeongdo-gu.

After the crime, Mr. A called 112 himself, and the responding police arrested him on the spot on suspicion of attempted murder. Ms. B, who was transported to the hospital, died the next day, the 4th, while receiving treatment.

The police plan to change the charge against the detained Mr. A to murder and continue the investigation.
