The Ministry of Science and ICT will encourage domestic companies attending CES 2025, the world's largest electronics and IT exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA, and seek ways to activate global commercialization.
From the 7th to the 10th, about 800 companies including major Korean corporations such as Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, Hyundai Mobis, SK Telecom, as well as digital innovation small and venture companies, will participate in CES.
The Ministry of Science and ICT will organize a policy research team led by Jeon Young-su, Director of the Information and Communication Industry Policy Bureau, to encourage domestic companies striving for global expansion.
Additionally, meetings will be held with companies, talents, and scientists to discuss suggestions and difficulties related to the global commercialization of digital technology, and ways to enhance the outcomes of global collaborative research and development (R&D).
On the first day of the event, the 7th, a meeting will be held with key domestic ICT executives, and a Digital Youth Talent Talk Concert will be held to inspire entrepreneurial spirit.
On the second day, meetings will be held with ICT innovation award-winning companies such as Mobilint, GaudioLab, Vernect, Bitsensing, and Hanyang University. Furthermore, a meeting with overseas Korean scientists in the North American region will be held to discuss global R&D policy directions through overseas Korean scientists.
Director Jeon Young-su stated, "We will deeply consider ways to globally commercialize excellent domestic technologies and reflect them in policies so that Korea's digital innovation companies can grow into global unicorns."
