원본보기 아이콘Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital (Director Min Jungjun) announced on the 6th that it recently held the "20th QI (Quality Improvement) Best Case Presentation" in the hospital's Nanum Conference Room.
Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital holds this annual event to promote a patient-centered and safe medical culture, selecting outstanding departments that have been actively involved in quality improvement activities.
This year, a total of 25 departments participated, presenting 22 topics including patient safety, patient experience and satisfaction, improvement of medical processes, and work process enhancement.
At the presentation, hosted by Kang Seungji, Director of the Medical Quality Management Office, seven departments leading in quality improvement were selected and awarded.
The Excellence Award in the QI Presentation category was given to Ward 61 for "Reducing Bloodstream Infections through Standardization of Chemoport Management Guidelines."
The Encouragement Awards went to: ▲Ward 62 (Enhancing Customer Satisfaction through the Production of QR Video Guides for Inpatient Life) ▲Department of Radiology (Promoting Appropriate Prescriptions by Considering Patient Condition during General Imaging Examinations) ▲Department of Biomedical Engineering (Improving Equipment Utilization through Pre-management of Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor Consumables) ▲Wards 32 and 52 (Increasing Accurate Patient Identification Compliance) ▲Central Support Department (Reducing PRN Prescription Volume through Improved Medical Supply Management) ▲Ward 21 (Utilizing Stress Management Programs to Strengthen Nurse Resilience).
The event featured presentations from the seven award-winning departments, as well as QI-related quizzes. There were also activities such as watching the QI certification shot event video and a lucky draw, hosted by Jeong Yujin, Deputy Director of the Medical Quality Department.
The event also included the awarding of departments with outstanding customer satisfaction activities, divided into four categories: wards, outpatient, testing and treatment, and front-line services. The winners in each category were Ward 62, the Dental Department, the Department of Laboratory Medicine, and the General Affairs Team (Cleaning).
Kang Seungji, Director of the Medical Quality Management Office, stated, "We will continue to provide patient-centered medical services, improve work processes, and share best practices. In order to maintain our status as a world-class cancer specialty hospital, we will keep striving for patient safety and quality improvement."
Min Jungjun, Director of the Hospital, said, "QI activities for patient safety and customer satisfaction are a crucial process for self-reflection and raising the qualitative level of our hospital. This presentation will serve as a foundation for sharing best practices across departments and providing higher-level medical services."
