On the 6th, LS Securities analyzed that investors' attention is focused on the next-generation robots powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and emphasized the need to pay attention to supply chain companies that can receive government support.

Hwang Sanhae, a researcher at LS Securities, explained, "Unlike the active overseas robot market last year, the domestic market was quiet," adding, "Samsung Electronics is attempting to catch up following the acquisition of its subsidiary Rainbow Robotics."

He continued, "Not only Rainbow Robotics but also related industries such as Doosan Robotics and Clobot have seen sharp rises," and added, "Samsung Electronics has established the ‘Future Robot Promotion Team’ directly under the CEO to expand its business into humanoid and manufacturing robots."

Furthermore, he emphasized, "We expect synergy between Rainbow Robotics' technological capabilities and Samsung's AI, software (S/W), and manufacturing competencies," and stressed, "Considering competitiveness in the overseas market, attention should be paid to supply chain companies that will receive concentrated government support."

He analyzed, "The robot theme is an area with less controversy compared to secondary batteries, so it is likely to remain a leading theme for the time being, centered on government support and competition."

Researcher Hwang explained, "However, an approach considering the position of the Korean robot market is necessary," adding, "In the short term, investment focused on finished product companies may be effective, but in the long term, attention should be paid to component companies that will attract future government support." He continued, "The humanoid market is transitioning from research and development (R&D) to mass production competition, centered on Tesla and China," and said, "The low progress in localization of key robot components such as reducers and sensors is acting as an obstacle to industry development."

He added, "The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy has identified core component technology development as the top priority task for fostering the robot industry."
