The Ministry of Employment and Labor announced on the 31st that it will deploy support personnel to the 'Integrated Support Center for Disaster Victims' established to assist the bereaved families affected by the Jeju Air passenger plane accident, providing trauma counseling and industrial accident compensation support.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor has assigned two resident specialists from the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency and the Occupational Trauma Center on the 3rd floor of the Muan International Airport administration building, where the Integrated Support Center for Disaster Victims is located, to conduct trauma counseling for bereaved families and colleagues.
Additionally, two compensation staff members from the Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service are stationed to provide industrial accident consultation. Two officials from the Mokpo branch office, the local authority, will continuously support the bereaved families by listening to their difficulties on-site, ensuring they can focus on accident recovery without inconvenience.
Kim Moon-soo, Minister of Employment and Labor, stated, "We will do our best to promptly handle the accident and support the bereaved families affected."
