On the afternoon of the 30th, Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, visited the joint memorial altar for the victims of the Jeju Air passenger plane accident to pay his respects.
On the same day, Mayor Oh visited the joint memorial altar set up at the Muan Comprehensive Sports Park in Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do, where he offered flowers and observed a moment of silence to honor the victims.
Afterwards, Mayor Oh visited the Disaster Victims Integrated Support Center and reportedly told Kim San, the head of Muan-gun, “If there is any support Dobong-gu can provide in the accident recovery and victim assistance, we will cooperate closely.”
Earlier that morning, before visiting the joint memorial altar, he mourned the victims at the joint memorial altar set up on the first floor of Dobong-gu Office. Mayor Oh said, “I pray for the repose of the victims. We will spare no effort to support the victims and their families in overcoming this hardship.”
On the morning of the 30th, Dobong-gu was the first in Seoul to set up a joint memorial altar to mourn the victims. The joint memorial altar will be open until January 4, operating daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
