Jeonju University and Dankook University Project Teams Join Hands for Academic Exchange

Jeonju University (President Park Jinbae) Humanities and Social Sciences Convergence Talent Development Project Group (Director Lee Yonguk, hereinafter referred to as the HUSS Project Group) has joined hands with Dankook University Humanities and Social Sciences Convergence Talent Development Project Group (Director Jang Sewon, hereinafter referred to as the HUSS Project Group) for educational and academic exchange.


Jeonju University announced on the 30th that it held a business agreement ceremony for the establishment and operation of a consortium-based shared university at Room 105 of the Yulgok Memorial Library, Dankook University Cheonan Campus, on the 27th.


This agreement was signed with the aim of establishing a convergence education system centered on the humanities and social sciences and fostering talents with convergent thinking through mutual cooperation.

The two universities have agreed to closely cooperate in the future to ▲establish a mutual cooperation system for the establishment and operation of a shared university ▲jointly research and develop educational curricula ▲share and jointly operate educational curricula ▲exchange human and material resources necessary for development and operation.


Lee Yonguk, Director of the Jeonju University HUSS Project Group, said, "I find it very meaningful that Jeonju University and Dankook University have signed an exchange agreement to foster convergence talents based on the humanities and social sciences, and I will do my best to ensure the joint development of educational programs and active exchange of personnel."


Jang Sewon, Director of the Dankook University HUSS Project Group, stated, "This agreement is significant in that it has laid the foundation for building a convergence education system in the humanities and social sciences through the collaboration of two universities that can create synergy, and we plan to extend cooperation beyond agreements at the university level to consortium-wide collaboration."


Meanwhile, Jeonju University is receiving about 9 billion KRW in support over three years through the Humanities and Social Sciences Convergence Talent Development Project, and is fostering convergence talents who contribute to the digital innovation of local resources and the creation of future value.
