Seongdong-gu Cancels Eungbongsan Sunrise Festival on New Year's Day... Residents Can Still Watch the Sunrise

Seongdong-gu has designated a national mourning period until January 4, 2025, due to the Muan Airport disaster, and has decided to cancel the 2025 Eulsan Year Eungbongsan Sunrise Festival (January 1).
The district will cancel the official Eungbongsan sunrise event scheduled for January 1, 2025, and will promote voluntary and safe sunrise viewing for residents.
Accordingly, residents are allowed to enjoy the sunrise.
However, since Eungbongsan has recently become a popular sunrise spot attracting crowds and raising safety concerns, safety management personnel will be deployed as usual.
A total of 119 safety management personnel will be deployed normally (96 staff, 20 security company personnel, 3 exemplary drivers).
