On the 30th, Paju City in Gyeonggi Province announced that Mayor Kim Kyung-il visited Unjeong Central Station and the transfer center on the 28th to inspect the status of users during the morning commute following the opening of the Metropolitan Area Express Train (GTX)-A line.

원본보기 아이콘On that day, Mayor Kim Kyung-il, the Director of the Road Traffic Bureau, and related department heads visited Unjeong Central Station to listen to the opinions of citizens commuting using the Metropolitan Area Express Train (GTX)-A.
They also moved to the bus stops and waiting rooms within the transfer center established at Unjeong Central Station to check the transfer routes and Bus Information Terminals (BIT). They engaged in conversations with citizens waiting for buses regarding the use of the Metropolitan Area Express Train (GTX)-A and buses to confirm if there were any inconveniences.
Mayor Kim Kyung-il emphasized, “We will continuously monitor and take measures to ensure there are no inconveniences in using Unjeong Central Station and the transfer center following the opening of the Metropolitan Area Express Train (GTX)-A. Thorough management is necessary so that citizens can safely use the trains and transfer centers.”
Meanwhile, the 'New Year's Sunrise Event to Wish for the Attraction of GTX,' which was scheduled for January 1, 2025, at Cheongseong Station Park, was canceled to mourn the victims of the Jeju Air passenger plane disaster that occurred at Muan International Airport in Jeollanam-do.
