The Board of Audit and Inspection comprehensively evaluates audit activities of central administrative agencies, local governments, and public institutions according to the 「Act on Public Audits」, assigning grades from A to D based on the performance of self-audit activities.

Gapyeong-gun's recent success stems from strengthening the expertise of its internal audit organization, the Audit Officer, active institutional support, and efforts to foster a clean public service culture. The county conducted audit case education for about 400 public officials with less than five years of service and has consistently promoted preventive audits such as "Nudge Audits" that support proactive administration.

Governor Seo Tae-won stated, "We will continue to promote preventive audits that create a productive work atmosphere and minimize audit risks," adding, "Through this, we will build a Gapyeong-gun trusted by its residents."
