Seosan City Receives Commendation from Chungnam Governor for Hospital Without Guardians Project Evaluation

Seosan City in Chungnam announced on the 30th that it has been selected as an excellent institution for operating the 2024 Guardian-Free Hospital Project and received a commendation from the Governor of Chungcheongnam-do.

According to the city, the '2024 Guardian-Free Hospital Project Evaluation' selected excellent institutions in each project field through an assessment of project performance, as well as inspections, publicity, and education at participating medical institutions.

The Guardian-Free Hospital Project is a program that provides free joint caregiving services to alleviate the social and economic burdens of hospitalization on low-income patients and their guardians.

Seosan City has signed a business agreement for the '2024 Guardian-Free Hospital Operation Project' with Chungcheongnam-do Seosan Medical Center and Seosan Jungang Hospital, and is implementing it throughout the year.

This year, the city supported caregiving expenses totaling over 200 million KRW for 227 people, contributing to easing the caregiving cost burden for low-income households.

Lee Wanseop, Mayor of Seosan, said, "We will strengthen the operation and promotion of the Guardian-Free Hospital Project to reduce the caregiving cost burden for medically vulnerable groups."

Meanwhile, Seosan Medical Center, a participating medical institution, also actively participated in the project and received a commendation from the Governor of Chungcheongnam-do in the private sector category.
