14 Companies Donate 20 Million Won in Cash to Support Underprivileged Groups

Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam announced on the 30th that a total of 20 million KRW in donations was delivered from 14 subcontracted companies collecting and transporting household waste to help low-income families.

At the donation ceremony, Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, and representatives from Dongseong Industry, Shinil Environmental Industry Development, Yurim Environment, and Seongeun Sanitation Corporation attended. The donation will be used to support neighbors in need within Changwon through Changwon City's dedicated sponsorship account, Hope Dream Changwon Bank.


Representatives of the subcontracted companies collecting and transporting household waste said, “Although everyone is going through a difficult time due to the economic downturn, we donated with the hope of providing some support to the disadvantaged residents of Changwon and to spend the year-end meaningfully. We hope that this sharing activity will bring warmth of love and hope to the local community.”


Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, said, “It is thanks to those who dedicate themselves without fail every day of the year that a pleasant and clean Changwon City can be maintained,” adding, “We deeply appreciate your hard work and generous support. The precious donations will be properly delivered to those in need.”
