This contest was planned based on the idea that explaining citizen-benefit projects, which the city is focusing on, in the form of short-form videos would be more effective for project promotion.

From November 13 to December 2, a total of 55 employees from 22 departments submitted 28 videos, showing high interest in the contest. After evaluation by the judges, one grand prize, two excellence awards, and five merit awards were selected as winners, totaling eight works.

To ensure fairness, the judging was conducted by six randomly selected Grade 9 public officials and six senior officials including directors, managers, and team leaders.

The prestigious grand prize was awarded to the GURI-BEARS team, composed of employees from Dong-gu Administrative Welfare Center, for ‘Welfare City Guri, Happy Daily Life.’ The content about Guri City’s welfare projects was expressed through an exciting rap, receiving high scores from both senior and rookie officials.

The excellence awards went to ‘Master Pen WAGURI - Introduction to Guri City’s Major Policies’ and ‘Hairdressing Fee Loved by Seniors.’ The merit awards included ‘Will Transportation Expenses for Pregnant Women Be Supported from 2025?’, ‘A Day of Jo PD - Introducing the Daily Life of the Officer for a Debt-free Guri,’ ‘Introduction to Guri City Public Wi-Fi Zones,’ ‘Guri Loves Its Citizens - Promotion of Multi-child Welfare and Veterans’ Allowance,’ and ‘Safety National Point Number in One Minute.’ These works covered projects newly implemented or expanded by the city in 2024, combining fun and information.

Guri City plans to upload the eight final winning works on YouTube’s ‘Guri Vision’ and other platforms in early January 2025 to widely promote the city’s various policies and projects nationwide.

Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri City said, “I was pleased to see the high promotional capabilities of our city employees through their creative ideas and high-quality video production in this contest,” and added, “I hope that by posting these videos on YouTube, citizens will understand and empathize with the city’s various projects.”
