Sh Suhyup Bank Enables All Financial Transactions with Mobile Resident Registration Card

Sh Suhyup Bank announced on the 30th that it will implement a digital ID service allowing all financial transactions to be processed using the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's mobile ID, the Mobile Resident Registration Card.

All customers using Sh Suhyup Bank and Suhyup member cooperatives can conduct financial transactions at branches or via the mobile banking application (app) using only the Mobile Resident Registration Card or Mobile Driver's License stored on their smartphones.

The Mobile Resident Registration Card can be downloaded through the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's mobile ID app. After pilot operations in nine local governments including Sejong City, the issuance service is scheduled to expand nationwide in February next year.

A Sh Suhyup Bank official stated, “Sh Suhyup Bank has been operating a mobile driver's license identity verification service since 2022, and with the government's introduction of the mobile resident registration card issuance service, we have expanded the scope of identity verification recognition. We will continue to strive to enable our customers to use desired financial services faster and more conveniently.”
