The theme of CES 2025 is ‘Connect. Solve. Discover. DIVE IN,’ which signifies connecting through technology, solving problems, discovering new possibilities, and actively engaging in change by boldly diving into innovative ideas and technologies. CES 2025 will be organized around 23 detailed topics, including three core themes: Artificial Intelligence (AI), Digital Health, and Transportation Technology & Advanced Mobility.

The scale of CES 2025 will expand compared to the previous year, with about 4,500 companies from over 160 countries worldwide expected to participate, and approximately 140,000 visitors anticipated. About 800 companies from Korea, including major conglomerates and startups, will participate to showcase innovative technologies to the global market.

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups will organize the largest-ever ‘K-Startup Pavilion’ at Eureka Park, CES’s dedicated startup exhibition area. Together with 30 startup support organizations including public institutions, local governments, universities, and large corporations, the pavilion will support the operation of exhibition booths for a total of 127 startups.

This represents a significant expansion compared to last year, when 26 organizations and 91 startups participated. Notably, the POSCO Group’s investment and nurturing venture pavilion has newly joined to share know-how on participating in CES and jointly operate support programs for participating companies within the ‘K-Startup Pavilion.’

To date, the CTA has announced 363 CES Innovation Awards across 33 categories, with Korean companies winning 162 of them. Small and medium enterprises received a total of 124 Innovation Awards, accounting for about 76.5%, of which 119 were awarded to venture and startup companies. These venture and startup companies showed strength in new industry sectors, receiving the most Innovation Awards in the core technology fields selected by CES 2025: Artificial Intelligence (18 awards) and Digital Health (17 awards).

Additionally, the highest innovation award, given to one company with the most innovative technology and product in each category, has been announced 20 times so far, with Korean companies winning 7 of these. More Innovation Awards will be announced until the end of CES, and it is expected that news of Korean companies’ awards will continue.

Among the companies participating in the ‘K-Startup Pavilion,’ a total of 10 companies have won Innovation Awards so far. Jung Jae-jun, CEO of the startup Entwick, which won an Innovation Award in the Digital Health field, said, “We are very pleased to introduce our personal arthritis treatment electronic medicine ‘ArthronPulse’ at CES 2025, and we will continue to do our best to develop innovative electronic medicines that treat diseases safely and effectively without side effects,” expressing his award remarks.

Minister Oh Young-joo stated, “CES 2025 is a great opportunity for our companies to understand innovation technology trends and increase their recognition in the global market,” adding, “The Ministry of SMEs and Startups will actively support promoting the ‘K-Startup’ brand worldwide through CES and help our innovative companies showcase excellent technological capabilities in the global market to find new business opportunities.”
