This Year's Samcheok Literature Award 'Grand Prize' in Poetry Category Awarded to Poet Sim Dong-seok

At this ceremony, the Grand Prize in the poetry category was awarded to Shim Dong-seok (Soekkori-reul Salmneunda and others), the Writer Award in the essay category went to Park In-yong (My Way), and the Young Writer Award in the poetry category was given to Kim Hwang-je (Jukseoru and others).

This year, the Samcheok Literary Award expanded its submission categories to include essays and children's literature to encourage more talented writers to participate. The eligibility criteria regarding debut experience were relaxed to a minimum of 10 years, and a new Young Writer Award was established to discover young local literary talents.

A representative from Samcheok City said, "We congratulate the winners of the 5th Samcheok Literary Award and will continue to strive to develop local literature and discover talented writers through the Samcheok Literary Award."
