Director Kang smiled brightly, saying that he received many congratulations from senior writers upon the publication of his second poetry collection.
Poet Heo Hyeongman said, "Writing poems despite a busy schedule as a public official is a beautiful thing," and added, "It is especially a great blessing to write children's poems like Kang does."
Children's literature writer Yoon Sucheon commented, "Reading Kang Sanggu's children's poems, you feel the joy of hopping across stepping stones in a stream," and continued, "They are fun and lovely, and even convey a sense of playfulness. This is probably because the poet's heart is connected to the hearts of children."
Director Kang recalled, "During my public service, I often found myself deep in thought while climbing Oryongsan Mountain behind the provincial government building," and added, "Everything in nature?woodpeckers, cuckoos, dense forests, the sound of wind from Sinan, and valley streams?became subjects of poetic inspiration."
Director Kang made his literary debut in 2015 when he won the New Writer's Award in the children's poetry category, hosted by 'Children's Literature World.'
