‘Purchased rental housing’ is a residential welfare project that secures housing stability for low-income and vulnerable groups in the region by purchasing multi-family and multi-unit houses with support from the government and the Housing and Urban Fund, and supplying them at prices below 50% of the market rent.

Jeong Myeong-seop, President of Daegu Urban Development Corporation, stated, “Our corporation has operated 2,800 purchased rental housing units so far, striving to stabilize housing for the homeless and vulnerable groups. In particular, we selected houses that practice the value of communal living well and maintain harmony among neighbors as the ‘Osundosun Housing of the Year.’ We supported the residents by delivering kimchi personally prepared by our staff and hope that the value of communal living will spread.”
