Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) will open the futsal court at the TS&D Center in Magok Industrial Complex to residents for free starting next year through a business agreement with S-Oil Corporation.
The futsal court (124 Magokdong-ro) will be open from March next year, and residents can use the futsal court, parking lot, and restrooms free of charge on weekends. The futsal court can be used for 2 hours on weekends. During the summer season (April to September), it operates 4 times daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and during the winter season (October to March), it operates 3 times daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Any Gangseo-gu resident can use the facility for free by making a reservation through the ‘Gangseo-gu Public Sports Facilities Integrated Operation System.’ Applications are accepted on the third Tuesday of every month, and users are selected by lottery. Meanwhile, the district operates various public sports facilities such as Banghwa Tennis Court, Banghwa Badminton Court, and the foot volleyball court at the southern end of Banghwa Bridge free of charge to promote residents’ leisure activities and activate local sports. Additionally, three public sports facilities?Magok Indoor Badminton Court, Hwagok Reservoir, and Gangseo Multipurpose Gymnasium?are also open on public holidays for office workers who find it difficult to use them on weekdays.
Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon said, “The opening of the S-Oil TS&D Center futsal court is the first case of a company opening its excellent sports facilities to residents free of charge,” adding, “This social contribution activity by S-Oil will serve as a catalyst for social contribution activities by other companies in Magok.”
