Gwangju Urban Corporation recently announced on the 21st that it held a kick-off briefing session for the 'Survey to Discover Wind Power Candidate Sites in Gwangju and Jeonnam.'
The briefing was attended not only by President Kim Seungnam of Gwangju Urban Corporation and its executives and staff, but also by officials from Gwangju City, who shared plans regarding the objectives and direction of the project.
This project aims to identify candidate sites with high potential for wind power generation within the region, and the findings will serve as foundational data for promoting local wind power projects. During the briefing, participants discussed specific analysis procedures and implementation plans for discovering wind power candidate sites in Gwangju and Jeonnam, which is expected to be an important first step in assessing the region's wind power potential.
President Kim Seungnam stated, "Through this project, we will strive to identify areas suitable for wind power generation and play a key role in revitalizing renewable energy within the region based on these findings."
Meanwhile, this project is being carried out by Korea Engineering Consultants Corp., which has a proven track record in domestic renewable energy feasibility design. Over the next three months, the company will identify and evaluate candidate sites optimized for wind power generation.
