The schools visited by Mayor Lee that day included Seongbok Middle School, Seongbok Elementary School, Hanbit Elementary School, Sinchon Elementary School, Cheongdeok Elementary School, and Guseong Middle and High Schools, totaling seven locations.
During the visit, Mayor Lee inspected major school and surrounding improvement projects implemented through meetings with schools and parents, such as improvements to school routes, road maintenance, cafeteria facility upgrades, and installation of soundproofing facilities, and engaged in discussions with parents.
Mayor Lee especially conveyed through the meetings his commitment to paying special attention to school route safety during the winter season. He stated, "We will prioritize snow removal on roads around schools," and added, "Particular care will be taken for snow removal on sloped roads." To this end, Mayor Lee plans to also review the feasibility of installing brine spraying devices to prevent safety accidents caused by icy roads in front of schools.
