Gyeonggi Province Corporation announced on the 19th that it sold 17 types of Gyeonggi-do ceramic products, including coffee cups, bowls, and seasoning containers, at H&Y MARKET PLACE, a famous Korean mart in the United States, from the 10th to the 16th, generating sales of 12 million KRW.

원본보기 아이콘The event was held at two H&Y MARKET PLACE locations in New York and New Jersey and was part of the 2024 Marketing Activation Support Project, which Gyeonggi Province Corporation operates on consignment, aimed at supporting overseas market development. H&Y MARKET PLACE is a well-known Korean market on the U.S. East Coast with about 48 years of history.
In addition to sales, Gyeonggi Province Corporation conducted advertising on local outdoor electronic billboards from the 8th to the 16th, prior to the event period, to raise awareness of Gyeonggi products. Alongside this, advertisements were also broadcast on a local Korean radio channel in New York during the event period to promote the excellence of Gyeonggi products.
Lee Jae-jun, CEO of Gyeonggi Province Corporation, said, “We made efforts to catch two birds with one stone by not only selling Gyeonggi products overseas but also simultaneously promoting them to enhance brand awareness. This will greatly help in pioneering new sales channels in the American market.”
Meanwhile, Gyeonggi Province Corporation plans to analyze consumer preferences following this initial export and negotiate a second export. It also intends to discuss adding more exportable items to expand sales for small and medium-sized enterprises in the province.
