Contributing to the Development of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Equipment Industry for 35 Years

Park Jung-woo, CEO of Weltem, has been selected as the recipient of the Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam Province, Top CEO Award.

Changwon Special City held the ‘2024 Second Half Top CEO Award’ ceremony on the 19th at the city hall reception room to honor those who have brightened the Changwon economy.

CEO Jungwoo Park of Welltem Co., Ltd. receives the Changwon Special City Top Executive Award.

The Top CEO Award is given to business leaders who have made significant contributions to the development of the local economy. Awarded companies are designated as preferential companies under the ‘Ordinance on the Promotion of Corporate Love and Corporate Activities in Changwon City’ and receive preferential support for various policy projects promoted by Changwon City.

CEO Park, the recipient of the Top CEO Award, has been active in the frozen air conditioning equipment sector for 35 years since 1989. Despite the challenging conditions in 2020 due to COVID-19, he achieved the highest sales in the company’s history with 35.1 billion KRW in sales and 7.83 million USD in exports. In 2023, despite high exchange rates, inflation, and interest rates, he achieved sales of 45 billion KRW, marking a 31% growth compared to 2022.

Additionally, his efforts to expand employee welfare benefits, such as providing childbirth encouragement bonuses, congratulatory bonuses for children’s university admission, and interest support for housing loans, were highly praised for fostering a cooperative labor-management culture.

Jang Geum-yong, the first deputy mayor, said, “We thank the business leaders who drive the local economy through continuous technological innovation,” and added, “Despite difficult domestic and international conditions, Changwon City will do its best to work closely with business leaders to devise measures and provide support so that there are no inconveniences in corporate management.”
