Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, Encourages Activity Support Workers and Childcare Providers Dedicated to Welfare Field

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, visited the Mapo Family Center on the morning of December 14th, where the year-end farewell event for Activity Support Workers and Idolbomies was held.

This event, hosted by the Mapo Welfare Foundation, was organized to commend the efforts of workers at the Mapo Comprehensive Welfare Center for the Disabled and the Mapo Family Center, both facilities under the Mapo Welfare Foundation.

About 120 people, including the main participants of the event?Activity Support Workers and Idolbomies?attended and brightened the occasion.

The event proceeded with congratulatory performances, viewing of project videos, awarding of certificates of commendation to outstanding workers, and recreational activities for friendship and harmony.

On this day, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, presented commendations to six outstanding workers who had devoted themselves to helping neighbors throughout the year.

In his encouragement speech, he said, “I sincerely thank the Activity Support Workers and Idolbomies who extended warm care to our neighbors throughout the year,” and added, “Mapo District will continue to work closely with you to ensure that no residents are left isolated, carefully watching over the community and realizing a tightly woven grassroots welfare system.”
