Former President Moon Jae-in stated ahead of the vote on the second impeachment motion against President Yoon Seok-yeol that "the incomprehensible and bizarre events that have continued under the current administration have reached their peak. The National Assembly's decision is urgent."
According to political circles on the 14th, former President Moon wrote on social media (SNS) the previous day, "This abnormal situation cannot be prolonged any longer," and urged, "The National Assembly should promptly end this shocking situation that the world is watching and restore peace to the people."
The National Assembly will hold a plenary session at 4 p.m. that day to vote on the second impeachment motion against President Yoon. For the impeachment motion to pass, at least two-thirds of the total members, or 200 votes, are required.
