Yoon's National Address Followed by Statement Release
"We Will Stand with Gwangju and Jeonnam Who Defended Democracy"

원본보기 아이콘Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeollanam-do, stated that President Yoon Seok-yeol's public address regarding the emergency martial law should lead to his immediate arrest as a traitor.
In a statement on the 12th, Governor Kim emphasized, "President Yoon Seok-yeol has admitted himself to be an anti-state and anti-constitutional force, and he should be impeached as soon as possible, not by the 14th."
Governor Kim said, "The content of the address is a pathetic and miserable rant not worth reading, provoking anger beyond sorrow," adding, "It is an illegal address that only confirms the urgency and justification of impeachment."
He also stated, "The truth behind this incident and the participants must be thoroughly uncovered and decisively eradicated," and added, "We must surely continue the great history of Gwangju and Jeollanam-do, which defended democracy on this land with blood in 1980. I will stand with them until the end."
