The future innovation growth acceleration projects include major initiatives such as the establishment of a drone manufacturing localization specialized complex (200 million KRW), the construction of a digital transformation support center for machinery and defense manufacturing (4.6 billion KRW), and the establishment of an AI and big data-based advanced medical and bio device research and manufacturing center (3 billion KRW), which will lead future industries.

Additionally, community-based projects reflected in the budget include the establishment of smart senior centers (400 million KRW), improvement of parking environments in traditional markets (4.5 billion KRW), and support projects for residents in development-restricted zones (4.2 billion KRW).

Furthermore, projects aimed at enhancing citizen safety and quality of life include natural disaster risk area maintenance projects (13 billion KRW), support for the Jinhae Family Center (400 million KRW), and revitalization projects for fishing villages (7.5 billion KRW). The construction of Jinhae New Port (434.7 billion KRW) and the Southern Region Wide-area Tourism Development project (1.3 billion KRW) were also included as major budget items.

Mayor Hong Nam-pyo stated, “The national budget secured this time is an important seed budget for Changwon City's future innovation growth and for projects that will bring everyday changes to citizens,” adding, “We will do our best to ensure that Changwon City's key projects proceed smoothly in 2025.”

Meanwhile, based on this budget, the city plans to promote projects within the budget scope and establish plans to secure the national budget for 2026.
