Jin Jong-oh, a Supreme Council Member of the People Power Party, stated on the 14th that he would "cast a vote in favor" of the impeachment motion against President Yoon Seok-yeol.
At a press conference that day, Supreme Council Member Jin said, "The sudden declaration of martial law by the president on the 3rd and the sight of armed soldiers storming the National Assembly, the hall of the people's will, was an enormous shock. I could hardly believe that such an event occurred in the 21st century, in a civilized country ranked among the world's top 10 economies," adding, "As a representative of the people and as a politician, I could not help but stay up all night pondering what I must do for the country and its citizens, and what decision I should make."
He stated, "I have clearly realized that this martial law incident has blatantly damaged the values and philosophy of both myself and the People Power Party to which I belong," and said, "I will cast a vote in favor during the impeachment vote to be held in the National Assembly this Saturday."
