According to the district on the 12th, the Nam-gu Health Guardians Performance Presentation was held on the 10th at the Health Education Room on the 5th floor of the district office.
The Guardians are an online promotion team that widely publicizes various health promotion projects promoted by the district office. Earlier this year, through an open recruitment process, 53 students from Gwangju University, Songwon University, and Christian Nursing University were selected. Currently, students from these three universities are divided into eight teams, producing various content on the theme of practicing healthy living, and delivering health information to residents through team SNS accounts.
Since the launch ceremony in May, the University Student Health Guardians Promotion Team has posted 178 posts on their SNS accounts over the past seven months. They have covered 172 card news items on various topics including six self-produced videos, moonlight exercise plaza, three major lifestyle rules for maintaining health, and the 150,000-step walking event on No Smoking Day.
With new health information regularly provided every Monday, residents' responses have been enthusiastic. As of last month, the number of residents who have befriended and followed the University Student Health Guardians' SNS accounts has reached about 5,000.
A district official said, “Residents are clicking ‘like’ on SNS posts and have told us that they find the useful health management tips very practical,” adding, “Thanks to the active efforts of the Health Guardians, the district office’s health promotion projects are being widely publicized, achieving a win-win effect.”
