Daejeon City has announced that it is recruiting applicants for the "Youth Newlywed Couples Housing Jeonse Loan Interest Support Program" to help stabilize housing for young newlywed couples.
This program, supported through public-private cooperation among Daejeon City, Daejeon Urban Corporation, and IBK Industrial Bank of Korea, provides an interest subsidy of 2.25% for new housing jeonse loan borrowers at IBK Industrial Bank of Korea.
Eligibility requirements include: △Both spouses must be without a home △Combined pre-tax annual income of the couple must be 100 million KRW or less △Couples who have registered their marriage within the past 7 years or plan to register within 3 months △Both spouses must be between 19 and 39 years old as of the announcement date.
Applicants can refer to the announcement posted on the Daejeon Youth Portal and submit the required documents via the government electronic document wallet, email, or mail. Selection is ongoing until the budget is exhausted.
Kim Nakcheol, Director of Education Policy and Strategy at Daejeon City, said, "Daejeon City is promoting various initiatives to improve the residential environment for young people, such as the Daejeon Youth Monthly Rent Support Program, Youth Housing Lease Deposit Interest Support Program, and Youth Housing Supply Project," adding, "We will continue to take the lead in improving the settlement conditions for young people in Daejeon."
