Mapo-gu to Host Family Sports Day, Carol Performance, and Balloon Tree Making on December 21
Online Registration Open Until December 15, Final Participants Selected by Electronic Lottery if Applications Exceed Capacity
Mapo-gu (Mayor Park Gang-su) is recruiting participants for 'Christmas with Mom and Dad!' to create precious memories with family ahead of Christmas.
In October 2024, Mapo-gu's family love program debuted under the theme 'Let's go camping with Mom and Dad in autumn,' receiving enthusiastic responses and concluding successfully, with continuous requests from participants for additional events.
Accordingly, Mapo-gu plans to hold a winter program called 'Christmas with Mom and Dad!' to enrich the Christmas and year-end season for Mapo families and to fully blossom the love among family members.
The recruitment target is families residing in Mapo-gu with up to four members, including children in elementary school or older, with a total of 100 participants. However, for safety reasons, families with preschool children who have not yet entered elementary school are excluded from the recruitment.
Applications can be submitted online through the Mapo-gu website or the QR code on the poster by December 15, and applicants must write their motivation and story together. The participation fee is 20,000 KRW per person.
If the number of applicants exceeds the recruitment quota, final participants will be selected by electronic lottery. Results will be individually notified on December 16.
This program will take place on Saturday, December 21, from 2 PM to 9 PM at the large dome installed at Hongdae Red Road R1 and the Hongik University gymnasium.
After the opening ceremony at 2 PM, participants will strengthen family harmony through creating family hope messages, photo missions, and family sports events.
After dinner, participants will enjoy a carol medley performance to fully embrace the upcoming Christmas, make balloon trees, watch magic shows, engage in recreational activities, and conclude by capturing happy moments with family in a group photo as a lasting memory.
