Author Lee Ji-sung praises Yoon's emergency martial law: "Well done... manly and cool"

Writer Lee Ji-seong, who joined the People Power Party two years ago and left the billiards world before returning after more than two years, praised President Yoon Seok-yeol's martial law as "manly." Lee is also known as the husband of billiards player Cha Yu-ram. On the 9th, Lee Ji-seong uploaded a video titled 'My Thoughts on Martial Law' on his YouTube channel. In the video, Lee said, "My daily life has completely collapsed due to President Yoon Seok-yeol's martial law situation, and I have been talking about politics 24 hours a day. It seems like it needs to be resolved quickly." He continued, "On the dawn of the day martial law was declared, I broadcasted my frustration. I thought it would be better to organize and share my final stance and thoughts on the martial law situation." Then, Lee gave a thumbs-up, saying martial law was well done, "It is obvious that South Korea's economy is not doing well, but still, it was well done. President Yoon's martial law is not illegal but legal," emphasizing, "It is the president's inherent authority."

He added, "Of course, the leftists say, 'Why did you do that when it's not wartime?'" and criticized, "You bastards, isn't it wartime because of you? South Korea is at war with the pro-North Korean faction. Since the Kim Young-sam administration, or even earlier from the Roh Tae-woo administration, has there ever been a time that was not wartime? Arresting and impeaching the perfectly fine President Park Geun-hye?isn't that a rebellion? Didn't you create wartime?" He further pointed out, "Because they are traitors, they cannot understand what President Yoon means by wartime. Does North Korea have to invade for it to be wartime? The war against spies is more dangerous to the country," and said, "Isn't he trying to root you out?"

Above all, Lee expressed regret over the failure of President Yoon's martial law but judged that the purpose of the martial law was correct. He said, "Of course, there are side effects. Up to 90% of the people do not understand what President Yoon is saying. That is unfortunate," adding, "The number of people who do not understand the president will increase. That is why the right wing will perish." However, regarding the proclamation containing the phrase 'punishment for medical personnel who disobey the return order,' he said, "This is where President Yoon made a mistake. I have always criticized this. It is the only mistake in the proclamation. Why destroy the remaining elite right-wing group? Apart from that, everything was well done."

Furthermore, Lee said, "Some say President Yoon did it to protect his wife, but a man should protect his woman. I have not criticized Mrs. Kim Geon-hee, but I really dislike her. President Yoon's current situation is also because of Mrs. Kim Geon-hee," while also asserting, "Would a president who cannot protect his own wife protect the country? You have to protect your family first; that is a cool man." He added, "Leftists do not do that. Compared to leftists who commit adultery, President Yoon is better," and said, "If President Yoon had committed adultery, leftist media would have already exposed it and caused a fuss. What is wrong with protecting your woman?"

He said, "That was my dream. A national hero would make a decisive move, appear, board a helicopter, go to the National Assembly, arrest all spies collaborating with North Korea and China, publicly reveal the evidence worldwide, and restore free South Korea," adding, "My dream is to rebuild the nation created by Syngman Rhee and Park Chung-hee." He praised, "Although it failed, President Yoon was cool for boarding a helicopter with paratroopers."

He continued, "I do not agree with arresting legitimate members of the National Assembly," saying, "Arresting and imprisoning members of the National Assembly who have evidence of being spies is something the president should naturally do. President Yoon just did his job." He also claimed, "If martial law had succeeded, South Korea's economy and exchange rate might have temporarily collapsed, but going through that process is necessary for South Korea to ultimately do well. South Korea would be revived." Finally, Lee said, "Doing this kind of broadcast now is social suicide. I am originally this kind of person, someone who freely says what they want to say."
