This training was organized as part of the Village Capacity Building Project to strengthen the capabilities of village leaders, who are the key agents of rural development, and to derive development ideas for each village.

At the completion ceremony, 36 village leaders from a total of 11 villages who completed the training course held over 15 hours on the 5th and 6th received certificates. These included 3 villages in the preliminary stage (Gaegok 2-ri, Cheongpyeong 3-ri, Mukan 1-ri), 3 villages in the planning stage (Eumnae 4-ri, Eumnae 10-ri, Gail 1-ri), and 5 execution villages (Imcho 2-ri, Daljeon 1-ri, Cheongpyeong 10-ri, Wonheung-ri, Hyeon 6-ri).

Through this training, the graduates acquired skills in solidarity and cooperation among villages and developed the competencies necessary to explore sustainable development plans for their communities. Gapyeong-gun expects them to play a leading role in driving regional development as key figures in rural communities.

A Gapyeong-gun official stated, “Through this village leader training, we have nurtured talents who can lead residents and take the initiative in regional development,” and added, “We will continue to provide unwavering support so that village leaders can play a leading role in creating livable rural areas.”

Meanwhile, this training is expected to serve as an opportunity to seek resident-centered regional development directions and positively influence the revitalization of rural areas in Gapyeong-gun in the future.
