Pocheon-si Holds 2024 Community Social Security Council Evaluation Meeting

Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 9th that it held an evaluation report meeting of the Community Social Security Council on the 6th in the main conference room to share the achievements of 2024 and announce the operational plan for 2025.

At the report meeting, the following events took place: ▲ Awards for excellent working subcommittees (Housing Environment, Sharing Resources, Employment and Migrants) ▲ Presentation of commendations to outstanding committee members ▲ Screening of the 2024 activity video ▲ Presentation of outstanding subcommittee projects.

Private Committee Chair Park Dong-hwa said, “I thank the committee members who have worked hard to revitalize the Community Social Security Council and improve welfare in Pocheon City,” adding, “In the new year, the public and private sectors will cooperate more closely to become a council that realizes effective welfare policies.”

Mayor Baek Young-hyun of Pocheon said, “I appreciate the efforts of the Community Social Security Council members throughout 2024. I ask that you continue to be the center of welfare improvement in Pocheon City,” emphasizing, “Pocheon City will also spare no effort in administrative support based on communication to create a Pocheon where everyone is happy.”

Meanwhile, the Pocheon City Community Social Security Council is composed of the representative council, working council, working subcommittees, and eup/myeon/dong councils. It is a public-private governance organization that provides social security-related services through linkage and cooperation with local institutions, organizations, and facilities.

It also plays a role in reviewing and discussing the community social security plan, promoting various policies needed in the community, and presenting policy directions for local welfare issues.
