Guidance on Public Support Association Direct Establishment System and Future Procedures for Siheung 1 District Redevelopment Project
Transforming into a Luxury Apartment Complex with 1,170 Households, Expanding Convenience Facilities
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that it will hold a residents' briefing session for landowners and other residents of Siheung 1 District at 2 p.m. on December 11 in the Geumcheon-gu Office auditorium (12th floor).
Siheung 1 District is an aging low-rise residential area covering 68,201.6㎡. It was selected as the first candidate site for the Rapid Integrated Planning on December 27, 2021, and a housing maintenance-type redevelopment project is underway. Currently, based on the opinions of landowners and others, the step of forming a promotion committee is being skipped, and preparations are being made for direct establishment of the association with public support.
The residents' briefing session was organized to explain the system and details of direct establishment of the association through public support and to guide the future procedures of the Siheung 1 District redevelopment project. There will also be a Q&A session to address questions from attending landowners and others.
After the residents' briefing session, a residents' consultative body will be formed for the establishment of the association, and administrative procedures for rapid project progress, such as estimating the contribution amount, drafting the association bylaws (draft), and preparing for the inaugural general meeting, will be promptly carried out.
A district official stated, “Since the step of forming a promotion committee is being skipped and the association is directly established with public support, rapid project progress and transparent project implementation are expected due to simplified procedures.”
When the rapid integrated planning housing maintenance-type redevelopment project is completed, Siheung 1 District will be transformed into a pleasant premium apartment complex with a total of 1,170 units in 35 above-ground floors and 2 underground floors.
In addition, the road will be expanded, and residential convenience facilities such as sports facilities and parking lots will be enhanced, improving the residential environment.
Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, “We will spare no administrative support for the rapid promotion of the Siheung 1 District housing maintenance-type redevelopment project,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to improve the residential environment of the aging low-rise residential areas in Geumcheon-gu through housing maintenance projects.”
Meanwhile, after establishing the maintenance plan (draft), Siheung 1 District completed related procedures such as residents' briefing sessions, public inspection announcements, and hearing opinions from the district council, and was designated and announced as a maintenance district on July 11.
