After the impeachment vote against President Yoon Suk-yeol failed to be established, Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, announced that he would attempt impeachment again. On the 7th, Lee held a rally condemning the rejection of the impeachment motion at the Rotunda Hall in the National Assembly main building in Yeouido, Seoul, saying, "The people must have watched with interest until late at night, and I apologize for not achieving the desired result due to our shortcomings," and added, "The People Power Party is not a democratic party. It is a rebellion party, a military rebellion party."

He also emphasized, "(The People Power Party) not only actively participated in acts of military rebellion that destroy the constitutional order and acts of rebellion, but also opposed holding them accountable," and said, "They abandoned the people's wishes to protect their shallow vested interests."

Lee further expressed his intention to continue attempting impeachment against President Yoon. He said, "We, and the people of the Republic of Korea, will never give up," and added, "We will definitely hold accountable those responsible for the acts of rebellion and military rebellion, and impeach Yoon Suk-yeol, who has become the worst risk to the Republic of Korea." He continued, "By Christmas and the year-end holidays, we will surely restore this country to normal and give you a Christmas and year-end gift."

Lee also criticized Han. After the rally, when asked by reporters if he had a message for Han, he said, "Politics should not be used as a means to fulfill personal desires in that way."

Meanwhile, the impeachment motion against President Yoon failed to be established due to a lack of quorum in the vote that day. At least 200 votes were required, but only 195 votes were cast, so the counting was not conducted. The impeachment motion was automatically discarded.
