Han Dong-hoon, leader of the People Power Party, stated on the 6th, "I judge that the prompt suspension of President Yoon Seok-yeol's duties is necessary to protect the Republic of Korea and its people." He reversed the party's previous stance opposing the impeachment motion against President Yoon, citing the mobilization of intelligence agencies to arrest major politicians and the failure to take personnel actions against responsible military officials as grounds.

Han stated, "Last night, it was confirmed through reliable evidence that on the day the martial law was declared, President Yoon Seok-yeol ordered Yeo In-hyung, the counterintelligence commander and his high school junior, to arrest major politicians on the grounds that they were anti-state forces. It was also identified that there was a specific plan to detain those politicians arrested by Commander Yeo at a detention facility in Gwacheon."
On the morning of the 5th, Han Dong-hoon, leader of the People Power Party, and Choo Kyung-ho, floor leader, are attentively listening to the remarks of committee members at the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly.

Additionally, he emphasized, "Therefore, if President Yoon continues to perform the duties of the President of the Republic of Korea, there is a high risk that extreme actions like this emergency martial law will recur. I believe this poses a great danger to the Republic of Korea and its people. I judge that now is the time to think only of the Republic of Korea and its people."
