When asked whether he did not attend the Cabinet meeting discussing martial law but did attend the Cabinet meeting that lifted it, Minister Yoo replied, "Let's agree on that much." When the questions continued, he said, "Didn't I answer?" and then went into his office.
The Ministry of Science and ICT had not provided a specific answer regarding Minister Yoo's attendance at the Cabinet meeting related to martial law. However, it was known that Minister Yoo did not attend the Cabinet meeting before the martial law was declared on the night of the 3rd but did attend the Cabinet meeting that lifted the martial law in the early morning of the 4th, and Minister Yoo confirmed this to some extent on that day.
On the same day, Minister Yoo reportedly stated at an executive meeting regarding all Cabinet members expressing their intention to resign, "I ask all staff to do their best in their duties to ensure there is no gap in state affairs." It is also reported that Minister Yoo himself plans to resume official schedules starting next week.
