Fire in Detached House in Paju... Non-ambulatory Woman in Her 90s Dies

At around 11:35 a.m. on the 3rd, a fire broke out in a detached house in Paju-si, Gyeonggi Province, and was extinguished in about an hour.

Fire authorities, who responded to a report that "the house is on fire," found a woman in her 90s, Ms. A, deceased inside the house during a search.

The entire residential building was also burned down.

The police believe that Ms. A was alone in the house at the time of the fire and suffered the accident.

The fire department deployed 15 pieces of equipment and 38 personnel and completed extinguishing the fire at around 12:36 p.m.

The police and fire authorities are investigating the detailed cause of the fire.
