Han Nam Mayor Lee Hyun-jae, who surprised everyone by transforming into Santa Claus, visited a family with six children who gave birth to their sixth child on the 2nd, just before Christmas, and presented a childbirth incentive grant filled with congratulations and gratitude, creating an unforgettable memory.

This visit was organized to raise social awareness of the worsening low birthrate issue and to widely promote Han Nam City's policies on childbirth and childcare.

Han Nam City provides childbirth incentive grants of 500,000 KRW for the first child, 1,000,000 KRW for the second, 2,000,000 KRW for the third, 10,000,000 KRW for the fourth, and 20,000,000 KRW for the fifth and subsequent children.

The recipients of the 20,000,000 KRW childbirth incentive grant for their sixth child are the Ji family residing in Misa Riverside City. The couple gave birth to their sixth child in October this year, becoming the first case to receive the 20,000,000 KRW grant for the sixth child.

Mayor Lee Hyun-jae said, “I made a surprise visit to celebrate the birth of new life, a great blessing to our local community, and to deliver a message of hope and encouragement,” adding, “Han Nam City will continue to actively implement policies for multi-child families with the goal of becoming a ‘city good for raising children.’”

Meanwhile, in addition to childbirth incentive grants, Han Nam City is promoting various childbirth and childcare policies such as ▲First Meeting Voucher ▲Postpartum Care Support ▲Infertile Couple Treatment Support ▲Maternal and Newborn Health Management Support ▲Diaper and Formula Support for Low-Income Families.
