Kim Dongi, Deputy Director of the local media outlet Taean Newspaper in Taean County, Chungnam, touched the community by donating a scholarship to Taean County.


According to the county, on the 2nd, Deputy Director Kim Dongi held a donation ceremony in the office of the county governor, attended by County Governor Ga Sero and others, and donated 1 million won in scholarship funds to the Taean County Love Scholarship Foundation.


This donation was made in recognition of Deputy Director Kim Dongi's contribution to the development of the media, as he was the only local newspaper reporter to receive a commendation from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism at the 2024 Local Newspaper Conference held in Daegu on the 8th of last month.


Deputy Director Kim Dongi said, "Since I received this award thanks to our readers, I want to give it back to the residents of the county," and added, "In particular, I hope this scholarship, given in the spirit of the award, will be of some help to students who dream of becoming journalists."
