Baemin Jangbogi·Shopping, operated by Baedal Minjok, will feature the large supermarket 'Homeplus Mart Direct Delivery'. Following 'Emart' in November, this is the second large supermarket to join, which is expected to greatly diversify the products available for purchase through the Baemin app.
Woowa Brothers announced on the 3rd that the large supermarket 'Homeplus Mart Direct Delivery' has joined the Baemin Jangbogi Shopping service. 'Homeplus Mart Direct Delivery' operates about 100 stores nationwide and offers a variety of products including Homeplus exclusive (PB) items, fresh food, electronics, toys, clothing, and living and sports goods.
'Homeplus Mart Direct Delivery', now available on the Baemin app, will provide delivery services using four-wheeled vehicles, unlike existing corporate supermarkets. Large or heavy items such as microwaves and rice cookers can also be purchased through the Baemin app. A reservation delivery function of up to 4 days is provided to maximize customer convenience.
Since Homeplus Express, a corporate supermarket, joined in August last year, Emart Everyday in June, GS The Fresh in July, and Emart in November have successively joined Baemin Jangbogi·Shopping. With the addition of Homeplus Mart Direct Delivery, the service range has expanded to cover all distribution channels, from corporate supermarkets and convenience stores to large supermarkets.
Kwon Jae-hong, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Woowa Brothers' Commerce Division, said, “With Homeplus Mart Direct Delivery joining Baemin Jangbogi·Shopping, the range of product categories available beyond food has greatly expanded. We will continue to improve convenience through collaboration with various sellers so that customers’ lives can become easier through Baedal Minjok’s services.”
